Data deletion instructions

At InvitiApp you can delete your personal information at any time. This page explains what data we store, how to delete it yourself from the dashboard, and how to request full account deletion and the removal of data connected from third-party services (including Meta/Facebook).

1. Quick summary

  • You can delete invitations and events individually from your dashboard at any time.
  • To delete your entire account and all associated data, email duribe@invitiapp.com from the address associated with your account with the subject 'Data deletion'.
  • We process requests within 30 days and confirm by email once complete.
  • If you connected your Meta/Facebook account, we also delete the data we received through that integration.

2. How to delete data yourself

Most data you can delete on your own without contacting us:

  • Invitations: dashboard → invitation → admin menu → Delete invitation. Guests, RSVP responses, photos, and video tied to that invitation are removed.
  • Events: dashboard → event → SettingsDelete event. Quotes, attachments, itinerary, checklist, and collaborator invites are removed.
  • Individual guests: from each invitation's guest page you can remove specific contacts.
  • Push notifications: from your profile you can disable them and remove the device subscription.

3. How to request full account deletion

To delete all your information (account, invitations, events, files, and data connected from Meta/Facebook or other login providers):

  1. Email duribe@invitiapp.com from the same email address registered on your account.
  2. Use the subject: 'Data deletion — InvitiApp'.
  3. In the body, indicate whether you want to delete the entire account or only specific data (for example: 'delete only the data received from Meta/Facebook').

If you write from a different email, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity before proceeding.

4. What gets deleted

When you delete your account we permanently remove:

  • Your profile (name, email, picture, phone, language, country, push subscriptions).
  • All your invitations and their content (titles, descriptions, dates, locations, FAQs, dress code, notes).
  • All guests you added and their RSVP responses.
  • All images, videos, and audio uploaded to our infrastructure (S3 + CDN), including auto-generated variants.
  • All your events and their content (vendor categories, quotes, attachments, itinerary, checklist, budget).
  • Collaborator invites you sent or received.
  • Identifiers and data connected from login providers (Auth0, Google, Meta/Facebook): email, external ID, and synced profile picture.
  • Public reviews you posted, unless you indicate otherwise.

5. Response times

  • We confirm receipt of your request by email within 72 business hours.
  • We complete deletion within 30 days of identity verification.
  • We send a final email confirming the process is done.
  • Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten in the next rotation cycle (up to 90 days).

6. What we may retain and why

Even when your account is deleted, some minimal information may need to be retained by law:

  • Payment and billing records (if you purchased Premium) — up to 5 years for applicable tax and accounting obligations.
  • Fraud prevention records — anonymous identifiers for a limited time to prevent abuse of the free plan.
  • Security logs — aggregated logs without personally identifiable data.

This retained data is not used for marketing nor shared with third parties beyond what the law requires.
