Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookies and similar technologies (local storage, unique identifiers) that InvitiApp uses and what they do.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a site stores in your browser to remember you between visits (preferred language, signed-in session, etc.). Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only activate with your consent.

2. Essential cookies (no consent required)

Necessary for the site to function. You cannot disable them without breaking basic functionality.

  • locale — remembers your preferred language. Duration: until you change it.
  • Auth0 session cookies — keep you signed in. Duration: per Auth0 policy (typically the browser session).
  • x-request-id — traceability header (not a cookie, an HTTP response header).

3. Functional cookies

Necessary to deliver specific product functionality:

  • visitorId — anonymous unique visitor identifier. We use it to count unique views per invitation and apply the free-plan limit. Duration: 365 days.

4. Analytics cookies (consent required in the EU)

Only activate if you accept:

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — aggregate usage metrics. Duration: up to 2 years. More info: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — lightweight analytics without persistent cookies.

5. Marketing attribution cookies

Only set if you arrive at the site with UTM parameters or click IDs (gclid, fbclid, etc.):

  • inv_ft — first touch (first time you saw the site). Duration: 180 days.
  • inv_lt — last touch (most recent session). Duration: 30 days.

They help us understand which campaigns work.

6. Third-party cookies

When we embed third-party content (HLS-hosted hero videos, images from CloudFront, Google Maps resources), those services may set their own cookies. Each provider publishes its policy:

7. How to control or disable cookies

You can:

  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies (will affect features like staying signed in).
  • Use your browser's incognito/private mode.
  • Install extensions that block trackers.

We do not respond to the 'Do Not Track' signal because there is no consensus standard, but we respect the choices you make in your browser.

8. Changes

If we update this policy we publish the new version here with the 'Last updated' date. For questions: duribe@invitiapp.com.
